61 and Heavenly...
I walked out of work tonight, about 5:40pm, to warmth and sunshine and 61 degrees posted up on the bank's flashy electronic sign. Hallelujah!!! I usually wear my winter coat to work- over a light sweatshirt that I wear while I work. Today... no winter coat, just the sweatshirt!! And, here's the best part... I even turned the air conditioner on in the car!! For some reading this, it may not seem like a big deal to you. So let me help you understand a little better, it has been a very FRIGID and LOOONG winter... very brown and white, so to see the yellow sun and actually feel the warmth it normally emits, is like a miracle for us! If we saw the sun, there was no warmth attached to it and we were just blinded by it's brightness reflecting off the snow. Now, the wonderful, warm sun has melted most of the snow and allowed us to start thawing out! Yeah!! One of my other favorite things about this transition is seeing the new buds/growth on the trees... Who would have thought that little nubs on trees would be so nice?! I just love it! Spring is nearly here!

hahaha!!! i can totally beat that... today it was in the mid-high 70's and i spent the afternoon sunbathing...ive got a nice tan started!
I think I win...It was over 80 today...Walked to the school, had a picnic at the park, sat in the driveway, watching the kids ride their bikes, morning, noon and night (Eric's training wheels came off last night, so he wanted lots of bike time today!...Have more than just a tan started, it is in full swing...I already burned my neck a few weeks ago. Yes, you read that right, a sun burn in February. Corinne, I think it is time to move south and west! I am happy for you though, spring is a beautiful time of year...strawberries,budding flowers, beautiful weather, birthdays, and did I mention strawberries! Yes, we just about finished off our second 1/2 flat of them for this season! Love them! Post more, we love to hear from you!
I'm TOTALLY with you on CELEBRATING when it reaches 60 degrees!! Might seem cold to others, but it's definitely HEAVENLY when you live somewhere COLD!! I can't tell you how excited I am for spring. I guess I don't need to tell you either cause it sounds like you're just as excited as me!!!! Miss you guys!!!
